Almost back to the original price before Lenovo start hiking their prices astronomically.
Raise the price and call it "due to RAM shortage" and when no one buys, call it a "Sale". Such genius marketing.
I got this when it was $800. Great gaming handheld if the price is right. Although not OLED, the larger screen makes it up compared to Steamdeck. I actually like it better than the Steamdeck. Neither I would buy at their "normal" price.

This is a Z2 Go version, not the Z1 Extreme - not actually going back to the original price.
I am soooooo glad I bought this used best buy open box during black friday for $500ish. At that price its an amazing pick up, at $800 im not so sure....
But, man, the price increase has been wild. I've been in tech over 30yrs (software engineer the past 20+) and have never seen this kind of hike.
I bought the 32gb Z1E Go S for $650 in November at Bestbuy...
I bought 96gb DDR5 for my play laptop in July 2025 for $175 - now $1399 on Amazon.
I bought 64gb for my work laptop the same month for $150 - $1149 currently on Amazon.
Wild.
Rest-seeking and roll up economy. Same thing happened in Austria prior to the Vienna stock exchange collapse in 1873. The Fed put will ensure no collapse (at the cost of inflation) until the dollar implodes. You can overlay the decline of the dollar with the Roman Denarius and see the exponential inflationary curves towards collapse. Anyways, good luck on the RAM front. Maybe demand destruction will soothe the pain in the meantime.
The Z2 go is a much bigger limiting factor than the 16GB, especially in SteamOS.
Is it? Iirc Z2 go is maybe 15-20% slower than Z1E at full wattage, but a bit faster at lower wattage, so depends on what you play you may or may not even notice.

I like it a lot for emulation but haven't used it a ton lately but I like having my library of retro games ready to go in a moments notice
