Why are used products posted on slickdeals? Can't people just buy used phones from their local market, like craigslist or facebook marketplace? used product prices aren't slick deals ...
Exactly. This phone has been on backmarket for at least a month at this price already. Why is this phone special and allowed on here as used?

This is a really good buy for those looking to do a trade in for the flip 8 (releasing today 07/22) for probably $400 trade-in value at launch.

I have a 256GB version. I used it for a year at launch, but the camera sucked. I started using it again a couple of months ago and it's way better now. The camera/photos are pretty good.

Also, if you have a backup phone, try carry this phone with no case. It feels great. I have 3 different cases, but I ditched them. Just use extra caution. I have a few phones, so I risk it. I also just got a renewed Fold 5 from Amazon. The big screen is great for games, but I actually like the Flip better as a daily driver.

I had a bad experience with this seller. Bought phone in April but procrastinated and didn't set it up until May.

I used it for a day or two and the LCD started delaminating/separating and then went kaput.

I tried to use the ebay refurbished warranty first. And they said it wasn't covered I then submitted a return request and the seller accepted. I shipped the phone and didn't think much of it once I saw a refund notification.

Fast forward to last week where I'm looking through my ebay purchases and I notice that they only refunded half of the amount because of the physical damage.

Ebay hasn't been helpful because my dispute window has passed.

So, if you decide to go with these guys be sure to get everything documented and deal with any headaches promptly

Really? Because my wife and I both had a Flip 4 for 15 months before the screen and digitizer cracked at the hinge. We traded it in for the Flip 5. Hers cracked first after 10 months. Mine cracked again after 13 months. The phone screens cracked so often for everyone that they had a discount program for screen repairs, and I got mine replaced for about $160. Then it cracked again after only 3 months of use. My wife's second Flip 5 has been working for 16 months, but the hinge is very loose. We both work from home...we barely go anywhere and never dropped them. These absolutely cannot stand up to wear, and wear on these simply means OPENING the phone. Once the digitizer cracks from OPENING the phone repeatedly, then you basically have a brick. Very few apps and connections operate from the cover screen. They are priced this way for a reason. I'm not even going to discuss One UI and how my wife's battery life is garbage now. 100% down to 20% in a day.
Going on 3 years and no cracks or any problem with mine. I did drop it a few times too

Similar. I had the flip 5 for two years and traded it in on the flip 7. Only issue I had was needing to change the screen protector that started to come loose which technically you don't need but because these aren't gorilla glass like regular phones, I'd probably keep on.

Definitely don't dispute the other posters issues he had, just saying I didn't have any during the two years with my phone. I upgraded for the higher nits, larger screens and dex support.

That said, I'm not sure I'd buy a used phone. Not specifically a flip, but any used phone, from one of these resellers because people traded them in for some reason and much of the time it's because of some lingering issue(s) they had. Only exception would be factory refurbished because weirdly those are probably better than original phones because someone actually replaced parts and tested.

The hinges on these will eventually fail and they will cause the inner screen to break. Not worth it.

You positive it was the screen and not the screen protector? The screen protector is around $25 and I've had my changed once.
