Community Reviews
This refurbished 27 inch curved MSI gaming monitor stands out as a cheap 1440p, 180Hz option that can look surprisingly good for gaming and media. The panel has been described as decent to better than a pricier Samsung IPS, and the curved screen is not distracting once in use. NVIDIA owners can also force G Sync over DisplayPort with FreeSync enabled. The main catch is the rebate, which is central to the deal and has raised concerns about eligibility, UPC issues, and even conflicting support info. A solid budget pick if the rebate process works out.
Common Questions (5)
The 27-inch curved VA panel is generally described as not distracting in normal use, and it can be a good fit for gaming and media. It is still a curved screen, so it is best for shoppers who are comfortable with that format.
The deal is advertised with a $50 mail-in rebate, but support reportedly said there is no rebate on this refurbished item and that rebates are usually not available on refurbs. If you buy it, verify the current item details before relying on the rebate.
Some units arrive in great shape and look like new, but others have shown issues such as heavy dust, grime, a smeared UPC, or even a missing power supply. Refurb condition appears inconsistent, so inspect the unit and accessories right away.
Paze can be used to buy Newegg gift cards and may reimburse up to two $50 cards, letting you cover most of the purchase and pay only the remaining balance plus tax. $50 is the minimum card amount, and $10 Newegg gift cards or third-party gift cards are not available through Paze.
It does not officially support G-SYNC, but it can reportedly be used with NVIDIA cards by connecting over DisplayPort, enabling FreeSync in the monitor menu, and turning on G-SYNC in NVIDIA Control Panel. VA-panel quirks such as occasional flicker may appear if the frame rate drops.

I need a new monitor, I have a $90 at retail monitor from Amazon after my old one died and been looking 27", 1440P, 0.5ms and HDR ready?
WTF is HDR ready? Does it have it or not?
I guess, I'll see how good a $60 monitor is, once I get it in, confirm I will not be returning, then the rebate will go out right away.
Let's see if newegg can't screw this one up.

As for rebates, I do them all the time for engine oil. They're easier now with online submissions and Venmo, PP, etc payouts.
Check reviews and decide
I'll write back if I get the rebate or not 🤞. I used to shop Newegg all the time. But since third party sellers started I've only bought a few things. I also hate paying sales tax on rebates. It's 11.25% where I am, so there went five bucks.

On the UPC there is 2, one with all the specs on the monitor another on the bottom of the box with a UPC on it....
So, I made about $100-200 a machine, during the year all about 10-15 machines, I made about $1400 out of it.... Newegg starts reporting taxes at the end of the year.
At the end of the year, no notice, just random get a bill for $2400 in taxes for all the items I ordered from them.
I would of passed the charge to the customer, if I knew, instead I worked many hours and lost over $1200 on that year, I stopped selling PCs after that.
Closed the account with newegg, this is the first purchase in over 10 years from them.
