The U6 model you bought is being replaced by the 2026 U6 model (called U65 at Costco).
No offense to Costco employees, but they are clueless about electronics.
Anyway, the 2025 U6 model you got for $999 is a damn good deal. It's sold out everywhere near me at this point. I'd much rather get the 2025 model for $999 vs whatever the new 2026 model will go for. They don't have any 2026 U7 or U6 100" TVs available right now. I'm guessing they will be introducing them later or they aren't going to sell them at all. Right now they only have the new Hisense 100" QD7 for $1700 which is inferior to both the U6 and U7 Hisense models, probably worse than the 2025 models.
QD7 < U6 < U7 when it comes to Hisense lineup. If the Costco employee meant the QD7 is replacing the U6 for the 100" version at Costco, that means they are selling the downgraded version from now on, which is terrible. That also means you got a smoking hot deal of a solid model, which is better than the "new" 100" one Costco is selling right now for $700 more.
Don't be fooled by the higher number and the lettering. Hisense has confusing model naming conventions.
