Funny enough I have that "old style sunshade" mentioned that is like a rectangular umbrella which I got off ebay for 6+tx if I'm not mistaken earlier this year. It appears some of these produce a kind of chemical smell after sitting in the light all day. As I don't think I'd still have the new car smell??) going on. So you too might find it worthwhile to put the windows down for several minutes after getting in to hope the air vents
