The refurbished Creality K2 Plus Combo stands out for its huge build volume, heated chamber, and multi color CFS setup, making it appealing for large prints and ambitious hobby work. The refurb store also appears to handle returns and replacement parts reasonably well, and the free return policy lowers the risk. Caveats are real, though, with reports of heavy shipping damage, bent frames, and occasional TPU or PETG headaches that may need firmware tweaks or material changes. It feels like a capable big printer if you are comfortable with some refurb roulette and a little tinkering.
Makers wanting a large-format heated printer, because it offers a roomy build volume and chamber heating for bigger parts.
Condition varies from brand-new-looking to heavily damaged on arrival. Some units have arrived clean with zero issues, while others came with bent frames, shattered screens, broken doors, or damaged filament buffers, so it is worth being ready to refuse delivery or use the return process if the box looks rough.
Returns and support can be straightforward: free returns are available, shipping back a unit has been described as painless, and support has reportedly sent replacement parts plus partial refunds when a refurb arrived damaged. In some cases they also provided repair guidance and a replacement-unit option.
TPU can be problematic on some units, and PETG has caused clogs and failed prints with Creality CR-PETG profiles. Results improved after firmware or settings changes and, for PETG, switching to Kingroon PETG; some owners also plan upgrades like all-metal extruder gears to help with TPU.
It is very large for a desktop printer and has been described as mini-fridge big. That size comes with a larger build volume and a heated chamber, which are major reasons shoppers are choosing it.
A graphite bed replacement is viewed as a worthwhile upgrade that can push the printer into strong value territory. One comment says that with the graphite bed replacement, the machine becomes a truly awesome printer for under $1000.

I've been pining for a larger volume and actively heated printer, so took the plunge on the K2 Plus given these considerations. 1. In the past few months while in the market for 3D scanners, have bought a refurb Otter and Raptor from the Creality Refurb eBay store and was delighted that the Otter was absolutely brand new in the box and the Raptor was so lightly used, most folks would have though it was brand new. 2. I did end up returning the Otter to buy the better Raptor and sending it back was no problem, they even paid the shipping and I received a prompt credit...very easy to deal with. 3. Having been in the hobby for almost 10 years now and on my 5th printer, have come to respect Teaching Tech on YouTube for his savvy and rich analysis. I watched his K2 Plus review from a year ago, and while not a ringing endorsement, having had both Creality and Bambu printers, don't expect the very refined Bambu experience and for $747 am ok with the minor wonkiness that can come with some Creality products. I am hoping that the TPU and other minor issues he experienced have since been resolved with updates and I'm ok buying an additional 3rd party build plate for ASA and even all metal extruder gears to help handle TPU. Having manually leveled the bed on my first Ender 3 back in the day, I've been through much worse. Here's his YT review for your consideration: https://youtu.be/udhl2mzfLbc?si=MBSVVgdyTp7XYvcX

The best price I've found on this combo... now ... the debate...
If it weren't for their free returns, I would have been more hesitant too. It's also huge....I've seen it in person at Micro Center and it's mini-fridge big! Wishing you a peaceful contemplation.
They have the "make offer" feature enabled. Has anyone successfully gotten an auto-acceptance at a particular dollar amount? What about the coupon? Does it successfully stack with the offer?

Started at 629 and then went up to 759, auto declined all.

Got an email from eBay "This seller is more likely to accept offers of $858.00 or higher." I don't need this... I don't need this... Just need to keep telling myself that.

I'm a fan, but wouldn't get one unless you're comfortable potentially tinkering (or shipping back a 100+ lb package. I got one of these a while back and it came beat up, basically looked like a drop shipped return. Door off the hinges, screen shattered, filament spools a mess (and not the ones that were supposed to arrive with it), etc. They sent the replacement parts and a 10% refund. Annoying to deal with, but between this at this price and the K2 Combo from Costco, I'm very happy with the larger build volume, not to mention all the other conveniences like the heated chamber.

Thanks for sharing and sorry to hear about your experience. Hoping for a better expereince for everybody here. My K2 is scheduled for FedEx delivery on Saturday 7/25 and I'll try to be home and greet the FedEx guy to potentially refuse delivery if the box looks banged-up. The ship weight is listed at 117 lbs and I cringe about how these are treated as they move through the system.

I've printed TPU just fine on an Ender 3 V2, both with bowden and direct drive setups, so it's a bit unacceptable for a brand new printer to have issues with it.
Then again, Creality official firmware really sucks in general, with a lot of standard commands stripped out, and the single best thing I ever did to my Ender was to get rid of the stock firmware.

BE ADVISED - BIG PROBLEMS. Mine arrived in a beat-up and weathered old box. I took it off the truck with the FedEx driver and I was half inclined to refuse delivery just looking at it, but felt like I needed to do the diligence of opening to better evaluate. In carefully opening it, plastic bits where raining down as something inside was absolutely shattered. After a full inventory, the touch screen is shattered, screws are torn through the back sheet metal panel, the filament buffer (little box on the back that plugs into the AMS) was shattered. I powered it up, but can't really go further than the shattered display showing half of a Creality logo. I'm wishing you all better luck, but this is the first time in a while, playing refurb roulette did not work out.
