1. buy it refurbed with 2 year warranty or from Costco. As someone mentioned, the Roborock direct warranty can be a hassle and it's MUCH easier with Allatate or Costco warranty returns.
2. They aren;t perfect. My first one was similar to this model. Bought refurb w 2 year warranty. The mop stopped fully lifting after 1.5 years. Allstate's warranty was easy (other than packaging and shipping). Second one was purchased through Costco (again similar model). The Lidar stopped working after ~8 months. Simple return to Costco.
All that said, I just bought another from Costco (Higher model but on sale) because you can't beat the convenience and the really cool features like quick kitchen cleanup and other scheduling options.

Thankfully, when it came it was brand new, or they just refurbish crazy well. It had no scratches, plastic film on everything, smelled like factory plastic. The roller was spotless, etc.
The app is good, and the robot just works. It has yet to get stuck on anything or anywhere. However, I only use it to vac/mop my kitchen. I use my Dyson stick vac for the living room carpet. No pets. Lots of long hair though. You have to clean the roller about every other month.
The upkeep on the tanks takes more effort. I use RO water to fill it and add a 1/4 cup white vinegar every time. On the dirty tank side after washing it I put 1 cup of RO water and a few tablespoons of vinegar. Cuts down on the nasty smell. You do need to wash the entire inside of the tank each time or it will grow mold, but that's not unique to this robot, they all have that problem.
If you buy this, definitely buy this refurb on ebay and not from the manufacturer to get the longer warranty.
Also, if you have a Costco Membership maybe consider holding out for something from Costco in case you decide it's not what you expected.
