60 days per the previous thread
I always like to think positive. But it looks like the phone may not unlock until the financial/agreement/contract plan is paid in full. FAQ "...For Devices financed through us or through a third-party ("Financed Devices") the Device Lock Period may last for the duration of the financing plan or until such time that the financing plan has been fully paid off, whichever is sooner, but in no event less than 60 days after activation."

So, I'm not saying it won't unlock at 60 days automatically, but they might make the argument that you have to wait for the 1 year service agreement/finance plan to be fulfilled.

Maybe we have someone that's been through a similar situation to chime in.

Just got my Pixel 10 from this same deal last week. 5 minute port from US mobile (needed annoying retention call to get account number and PIN). Happy with service from Mint so far. Even sent me a text about their unlock policy to confirm the 60 day unlock. Not sure I'll keep the phone but should be able to sell it for about as much as I paid if I don't. Yea free 1 year unlimited plan then.

Port your main number to Google voice and just get a new throwaway number here while using the Google voice phone app for the next year for your real number

Have you done this? It sounds like a great idea.

Financing implies you owe money on the product and you're slowly paying it off by making monthly payments.

So if you pick Affirm? Yes it's probably not going to unlock after 60 days. However if you're paying the $375 total upfront. It's unlocked in 60 days. Though I have no idea how this eSim stuff works concerning transferring service to new device.

Is there any way to sell the mint plan in the deal?
I've seen people sell them on eBay for what it's worth...

two questions for the community

1) how long is this deal good for?

2) once you use up the 20GB of hotspot, does it cut you off or throttle it down to 3G speeds? how much extra is it to buy additional GB of hotspot?

After reading it all again, I tend to agree with you. I'm shell shocked lately with the terrible customer service from various places (amazon, airlines) and crap products, etc. (not mint, just in general).

As all deals. Could last theoretically forever or be gone in 10 minutes. Apparently though this was available last week and they restocked it.

Hotspot full stops. On the unlimited plan (which if getting this deal obviously should pick) it's $15 for 5gb or $20 for 10gb extra Hotspot data. The other plans is 1gb for $10 or 3gb for $20.

Yes, I've done it for the last few years, though I've been on Infimobile the last year, not Mint, since it had a cheaper option last time. I just get a new number each time since it usually has best deals, but my real number I give everyone is the one on Google voice. It also means I can use my main US number while travelling internationally on a foreign sim card - though technically Google voice is only an American service so I assume Google would block it eventually. But I've used it for month long trips with no issue.

Anyone wanting 256GB or a different model should do a search on this site for previous deals, because from what I could tell they don't really do them much for the Pro/XL and don't really seem to do them at all for regular 256GB. Good luck.
If I recall correctly, they did the 10 Pro XL 256GB for 399 last year and the 512GB model for $100 more. It was few weeks before Black Friday. Hopefully they do it again with the 11
