Suppose I'll buy it and decide later, Not going to be using alot of the Vizio OS itself, or the speakers. I'll be using my own Onn pro box and my LG surround sound system. I've never owed a QLED TV, so I do have high confidence this will be at least slightly better than my Hisense 6series-58

The only reason why this TV is better than anything else you can find for $200 is because it does 120hz at 1080p

it can accept a 120hz signal at 1080, but the panel can only do 60hz. Good for latency for gaming, but you're still going to see 60hz.

Not true, it uses real hardware tricks to achieve visible 120fps. At 1080p it only needs to draw 25% of the total pixels required for 4k. So the display controller pairs the horizontal rows of pixels together. This technology has different names based on the manufacturer. TCL calls it DLG, Hisense calls it HRA, and Vizio just calls it 120hz at 1080p

This is a SUPER low-end tv with no local dimming and the brightness only gets to 200 - 300 nits. So there is ZERO HDR ... dark scenes will look muddy and bright scenes will be dull. It's still probably going to be okay for those of you that are vanilla consumers with no interest in tech.
