Wow, such brutality.
Get the set if those tech short comings do not matter. I am not saying not to buy the TV, I'm just making sure people here are readily informed so you aren't surprised. I think for most, it's going to be a great purchase. I'm biased in that, I love movies, so the PQ matters. On a budget, this will be great.

Our first hdtv 1080p was a Vizio plasma from Costco form around 2007. After a year it got vertical pink and green lines. Family spent another &400 getting my it fixed and then it got black screen a year or so later. Worst purchase ever. Compare it to budget Hisense 4k tv which has lasted since 2019. If this was Hisense or tcl at this price and size I'd buy it

Tom, in what situations would you say people benefit from buying large TVs that are inexpensive but don't look nearly as good as OLEDs? What are they best used for? For example, if you owned a restaurant, would you buy six of these because of the price, or are they poor enough that even patrons would notice and be affected by the picture quality?

I'm just trying to figure out the best use case for investing in one of these. One idea I had was using it as a digital whiteboard. It may not be the ideal solution, but it seems like a pretty inexpensive option.

Looks out of stock. I got in for one as a gift to my mom (or to replace my 2019 65" Vizio if this one is significantly better).

Was able to snag one before it sent out of stock. Going to replace a 10 yr old 50 Roku Westinghouse from a guest room. Hopefully it'll be good enough for that purpose

Not buying any TV without local dimming. We bought an LG without local dimming zone 4 years back and hate that TV.

Its pretty much the cheapest 65 TV you'll find. Of course there are gonna be trade offs. I brought the 50 version of the tv to replace an older tv and have no complaints. Exactly what I expected for the price, I have no complaints.
