And it has a charging dock? Think I'm just gonna buy now and ask questions later.....

- TMR sticks in the Pro 3 vs. Hall effect in the Pro 2. Supposed to be more accurate, more efficient, and more durable, but not going to be game changing unless you're ultra competitive or have drift on your current sticks.
- Physical switches to lock the triggers on the 3 vs. software adjustment on the 2. I don't use these, but they really do become nice clicky buttons when engaged.
- Magnetic swappable ABXY buttons on the 3. Can change between Nintendo and Xbox layouts. Doesn't really do anything for me.
- 2 more mappable buttons on the back of the Pro 3. Again, I don't really use these.
- Lower input lag on the 3. Probably not enough to notice unless you're ultra competitive.
- The charging dock(!) This is the reason I'd buy the 3 over the 2. The dock doubles as the 2.4ghz receiver and keeps my desk less cluttered with cables. I was always bad at plugging in my controllers at the end of a session so they'd die mid match, that's an issue of the past now that I have the dock.
For what it's worth, I've never used the 2, but I've owned the 3 for about 8 months and I love it. Apparently I'm a violent gamer so OEM Sony controllers never last me longer than 6 months(its always due to stick drift), I feel like this thing is going to last me many years. I paid $55 for my Pro 3 on Amazon and to me it's worth even more than that, so its a no brainer at $37.Join The Conversation
