The JOOLA Journey 10mm is a solid beginner paddle (roughly 6.5–7/10 overall). A quality $200 paddle is typically 20–40% better in spin, forgiveness, control, and overall performance, especially for intermediate and advanced players. The Journey offers excellent value, but it won't perform like a high-end carbon-fiber paddle.

Is the Journey Worth Buying?
Yes, if:
  • You're new to pickleball.
  • You play casually 1–2 times a week.
  • You want a recognizable brand without spending $200+.
  • You are still learning basic strokes.
No, if:
  • You're already a 3.5+ player.
  • You rely on topspin.
  • You play tournaments.
  • You're looking for a paddle you'll keep for several years without upgrading.

If you're playing even once a week you should not be using a trash paddle like this...

Got it, thanks!
The pickleball paddle market is saturated with brands and models. Its hard to understand what is good vs not and what is only charging for the fleeting "brand" value.

I hate to reply to a dead post but i just got my paddle delivered and is going directly back to woot.

you know that 2 paddle set with 2 balls that you can have from your local ross for 10 dollars? this is basically that with nicer edge. i honestly don't know how they can justify the MSRP of 60 dollars.
