For those that purchased this, do the cable and weight storage pegs also fit non-olympic plates? I heard some units come with olympic 2 inch sleeves that can be added/removed but don't see anything mentioned about that for this one.

Why would you buy a unit if this size for baby weights

Me too. Family member squats 320 lbs on my F4 version 2.0 and tested a fail on the safety bars (from the lower part of the squat position, not from the height of a squat position) and it was very stable and sturdy.

Here are the two Mikolo squat racks I wish they would combine into one squat rack with both sets of features.

1. For the weight stack from the F7 (aka F4 ELITE) https://www.walmart.com/search?q=mikolo+f7

and

2. For the functional trainer from this somewhat similar squat rack without a weight stack. https://www.walmart.com/ip/seort/...8WQKRenWM0

My F4 version 2.0 came with optional 2-inch sleeves for the weight plate holders. But I preferred the 1-inch size because it is easier to slide the Olympic plates on and off, and they are just as secure.

For less than $300, this is a great squat rack that likely meets the demands of 95% of people. If you plan to lift less than 300lbs, the F4 version 2.0 with 2x2 inch, 14 gauge steep is more than enough. If you lift more, then 3x3 inch, 11 gauge or go to a commercial gym is the way to go.

The red paint job is not great on this rack... I have used the rack a bit and there are scrapes on the red posts. I really don't care about scrapes and chips. It is just evidence I'm using it. Black color may hide the scrapes and chips better if that is important to you.

If you are one to fret about the pristine appearance forever, then you'll have to pay a lot more for a better paint job. And then fret when that rack gets scraped and chipped too.

One feature that I am now using and appreciating much more are the resistance band pegs.
Hybrid Resistance Youtube series taught me about the advantages of resistance bands on the barbell lifts along with weight plates.. Those band pegs with this rack are really good.

This is a great rack that I bought for $305 a year ago from walmart as well. It is interesting it is gradually coming down in price.

As others have said, it is very sturdy and will work for 95% of people.

The only downside to this rack is its non standard peg size / spacing. It is 2x2 square tubing, 1'' diameter holes at about 3 3/4 spacing. So if you want aftermarket accessories that fit in these, it might be hard to come by.

Be on the lookout for CAP Olympic Bumper plates as well, they are often sale at Walmart. They are now, but when I bought some sets a year ago they were $1 / lb or less starting at 25lb plates w/ free shipping.
