would it be a good size for a female old lady 5'6 150 lbs? looking for a neat little bike and saw these many years ago
per AI:
Rider Experience & Sizing
While the MX650 is aimed at ages 16 and up, it is physically a smaller, pit-bike style vehicle. Taller riders (over 5'9") often find the ergonomics a bit cramped, and adults over 150–160 lbs might notice the stock suspension bottoms out easily over harsh terrain. It performs best on dirt, grass, and gravel, offering decent acceleration for a bike in its class.
I'd spend a bit more and get something better... There have been ,any many emoto deals posted for under 1k in the past few months. I went with a Pegasus that was about the same price
On flat ground it will move a 170lb adult just fine up to around 15-20mph.
The bike is more geared towards ~60-100lb riders. If you are off road it will struggle on hills or loose material even with lighter riders.
To really make this bike great, you need to rip out the batteries and replace them with a lithium pack, replace the controller with a higher voltage controller and maybe even swap the motor. ~$350 or so and your bike is now more adult capable and 'fun' for larger riders. But then you need to start considering suspension modifications... so increase in price and you get the idea.
Realistically - If you are thinking of riding around your neighborhood or letting your 8 yr old learn, this thing nails it. If you are bigger and know how to ride and might be offroad a little? Get a cheap 125cc pit bike.
I have a modded mx350, modded mx650, 125cc pitbike, quads and larger bikes. The mx650 is currently the go to for my 7 and 10 year olds. the 125cc is better for 12+
Personally, I am a degenerate when it comes to 2 wheel machines and modifications so I am still considering this deal as a way to get spare parts.
