This game is a very divisive puzzle game. You either absolutely love it or you don't. I loved it and completed all 600+ puzzles. The final challenge took me off and on 4 years to complete.

I really liked what I could play of this game. For some reason, this and Portal 2 make me so nauseous.
are you thinking of the right game? this one has no fast movement or anything
as for the game, good deal but its a difficult (yet simple) puzzle game with not much explanation and steep difficulty, not much story. so only for true puzzleheads

Yes, sadly! You're right about it not having fast movement, and I don't know what it is about this game. It just gets me feeling off, which is a real shame because I have such a good time with the puzzles.

Tread carefully puzzle lovers... It's good and enjoyable and FUN and COOL... until it grinds to a halt depending on your committment level. I kept getting to that stupid treehouse area after multiple times of trying to get back into it and could not tolerate it any more. It does not hold your hand at new elements at any stage, it just assumes you'll figure it out, then figure out the next thing that builds on it in some abstract way.
Price-wise, never in my life would I say this is a $40 game. $20 tops, glad to see it astronomically lower.

oh weird, could be the motion blur or something. there are programs (or some monitors with it built in) where it adds a center dot to your screen, which really helps with motion sickness. you could always try that if you go back to it

As a person who was very disappointed with the Witness I agree with you. I did everything except the final timed challenge.
There were things I loved, things I hated, and everything in between. At the end I think my problem was there was no payoff to the story. It was just meh. I know games are more than that but as a whole I wanted more. It felt like the amount of challenge the puzzles were kind of demanded more on the shortcomings of the game. Like its off balance in that way.
I still recommend trying it to anybody interested.
I love The Witness for its explore-at-your-own-pace gameplay and tough puzzle challenges. I went through and 100%ed it but had to randomly guess that one optional puzzle inside the ship.
A friend just told me of a new Jonathan Blow game coming soon, Order of the Sinking Star. It is the only game I've ever wishlisted on Steam.

Contrary to you, I think I largely enjoyed / loved the whole game (It's been a while, maybe I am glossing over some long forgotten frustration) ........ but [SPOILER, KINDA] like you I was very disappointed by the (lack of) ending. I though there would be a big twist or reveal, and I can't remember anything striking. Or maybe it flew over my head.

Did you say timed? I love puzzles but absolutely hate timers.
