hardware upgrades NEVER justify plan upgrades, unless you already needed a plan upgrade.
Unless company reimburses mobile plan cost. I literally got my phone for free every 2-3 years with a trash used old iPhone + trade in.

I don't want to be that guy but I really would not buy any of the new foldables from Samsung this year simply because they have switched to silicon carbon batteries. The battery size increase is trivial but the potential for this unproven tech to fail spectacularly is high. There's a reason why only Chinese phones use this and no one else. The silicon carbon anode can swell far more than the traditional lithium one and the number of charging cycles is reduced, meaning it doesn't last as long after a year. Samsung also screwed up big time with their S26 Ultra and its subpar privacy screen. This year is full of deal breaking decisions as far as I'm concerned. I was also kind of pumped for the squat fold 8, but after a few hands on videos, it's clearly just a regular fold with the top cut off. The interface looks terrible no matter the app and the real estate isn't even wider than the regular fold for videos.

Kind of a weird argument to make if you aren't ever the one paying, more/less/same. You being that lucky isn't an option for most other people trying to evaluate this deal.

Grandfathered in the simple choice plan. Was paying $100 for 6 lines unlimited, until they recently raised each line by $5. $130 still isn't too bad. Been with T-Mobile for 25+ years. There's no loyalty to existing customers, but for what I'm paying, I'm stayin
I hate how they won't honor their own grandfathered plan prices any more, and you have to pay more for a plan that WILL honor the grandfathered price. And I think I read that the "honoring grandfather price" is a "perk", that only lasts 5 years now.

-So NEVER change a grandfather plan, and they will increase your cost whenever they want.
-Or, pay MORE for a "better" plan EVERY 5 years, just to get access to the 5-year locked price plan perk again.

Just a warning to anyone considering plan upgrades for any reason any way, if you have any Free Lines, they don't always honor them with plan upgrades. Get something on paper BEFORE you upgrade.

-some times they honor free lines, and they stay free on new plans forever.
-some times they honor free lines, BUT, only for 2 years, then "surprise!".
-some times the new plan includes more lines without increasing your cost significantly, or you already had to eat an increase when forced into the plan. seems fine, but it's no longer a "free" line, and they jump the cost the NEXT time you shift plans.
-or they just outright screw you and then every free line changes into an "added" pay-per-line

Mint mobile looks better all the time since Tmobile is already "retiring" plans and charging more.

You are over your credit limit. They will pay you back over 24 months.
Yes, everybody has an 'internal'/'soft' credit line with TMO. You can finance device costs until your credit line is used up. I don't recall their terminology, but you can ask and find out how much of it you have available, without any hassle.

If you have a typical promotion/financed device, (random numbers to explain) that you pay $25/month device cost for, but also receive $25/month from the promo (usually lasts 2 years until device paid off and all credits received), that monthly device payment frees up the same same amount of credit each month in your internal credit line, so you can use it for financing again. (random number example again) A $600 phone, 100% financed with a $600 promo, for 24 monthly payments of $25, would decrease a $1000 credit line to only $400 available. But every month you pay $25 device payment, whether from a monthly promo credit or from cash, your credit line availability goes back up, from $400, to $425, $450, $475, etc until the device is paid off and your available limit is back to full $1000 again.

Only for people who were already gonna pay for those plans without a free phone. To them, this is a good deal they should know about. For someone like me who's paying $35 a month for unlimited, nah
25$/ mo has entered the chat. Wazzup Bro!

Is it really a deal if you are paying $100/month for experience beyond and $85/month for experience more service plan?
Im getting mint mobile for each phone $15/month but likited to 5gb which is enough for me when im traveling so meh. Refurbished samsung s24 works for me. As much as it looks nicer withthe flip and fold.

All things considered, this is a pretty good deal if you qualify with one of the new phones and don't mind being locked into T-Mobile. It's by far the best trade in amount.
You are right about trade in amount but it worth paying 85$+/month for plan?
