Over a crease? 🙄 I've been using folding phones for over 6 years now and although I've had my issues with them, the creases have never been one. Even the worse creases I eventually don't notice it after a few days of usage. I'll never go back to a regular bar phone, even if the creases on a folding phone swallow me up 😄
This AT&T Fold 8 Ultra offer stands out for the large trade in credit and the appeal of a bigger inner screen for multitasking, spreadsheets, and reading. The wider outer screen is also drawing interest from current Fold owners who want a more usable cover display. The main catch is the fine print around installments and credits, since upgrading can stop credits on the old phone while the remaining balance still has to be paid. Durability, crease visibility, and the lack of S Pen support also keep some buyers hesitant, making it a strong fit only if the foldable tradeoffs work for you.
Upgrade hunters with a qualifying flagship trade-in, because the credits can make the monthly cost work out better than expected.
Camera-focused buyers who expect flagship zoom and selfie features, because this foldable gives up telephoto reach, privacy-screen features, and stronger selfie hardware.
Folding durability concerns can include hinge or screen damage from small debris like sand, and some experiences report breakdowns within about two years.
The crease is reported to be minor at first and often easy to ignore after a few days or months, with some users saying it stays barely noticeable even after nearly a year. Others still worry about hinge failures, inner-screen protector lifting, and long-term fragility.
Yes. The old phone's bill credits stop when you upgrade, and the remaining installment balance still has to be paid. That can make the previous phone more expensive overall if you were counting on those credits.
Yes, if you want the best value. Paying off the old phone was described as necessary to avoid losing the existing credits, and the remaining balance still must be settled even if you upgrade.
No. A Fold 5 or Fold 3 trade-in was reported to top out at $1,000, so the full $1,900 credit does not appear to apply to every device. The exact value depends on the trade-in model and eligibility.
The minimum plan mentioned for full credit is $70 per month. That plan is described as covering the device through the bill credits, but it still requires a qualifying line and trade-in.
If I already receive bill credits on a different phone, can I get another bill credits for the fold 8?
I believe you're able to do this, the bill credits will cease on the previous phone and begin again with this one (which ultimately makes your previous phone more expensive)

Basically It would stop the old bill credits but I will continue to be billed for the old phone?
I'd be hesitant to lock into a plan for 3 years to get a phone that is very unlikely to survive 3 years. But it does look like the plan options are much more reasonable than tmobile. Tmo plan to get this phone free is 100/month + tax.

I would verify that with a CSR though
You purchased the phone with an installment plan.
You still owe whether you buy a new phone or get rid of your current phone.
