This Acer 67W GaN charger stands out as a compact, foldable travel block with three ports and a strong single port for laptops or fast phone charging. The top USB C port can deliver the full 67W, and the power split is described as 45W plus 20W when two USB C ports are used. At $12, the price is called excellent for a name brand charger, and the 121 gram weight is still manageable for travel. The main drawback is that the second USB C port is much slower, and the charger can run warmer than expected under load.

Common Questions (5)

  • It delivers up to 67W on one port, or about 45W plus 20W when both USB-C ports are used. That makes it suitable for a laptop plus a phone, but not for two high-wattage devices at full speed at the same time.

  • Not at full speed. When both USB-C ports are active, the second port drops to about 20W, which is enough for slower charging but not ideal for two newer phones that want 25W to 45W or more.

  • Yes, $12 is a strong price for a name-brand 67W GaN charger with three ports and a foldable plug. The main tradeoff is that the second USB-C port is limited to about 20W when both ports are in use.

  • Yes. It is described as smaller and more portable than 100W or 140W chargers, and one measured unit weighed about 121g (4.3 oz). That makes it a practical travel charger for charging a few devices overnight.

  • It can run warmer than expected, even when powering a small laptop from the top USB-C port. That suggests heat buildup is worth watching if you plan to push it near its rated output.

Split the wattage? Nooooo.
Most people including myself would prefer 45+20 over 30+30 any day. Why? Because most ultrabook laptops can charge at 45w but cannot or would struggle at 30w. You are exaggerating the charging speed and needs of a modern phone. On the airplane, I take a cheap 18w charger so that if I leave it on the plane I don't really care. The charging speed is just fine. I never feel like it won't charge enough by the time I land. And since you didn't listen to what I was telling you, I will prove it to you. I have a Samsung fold 7 phone, about as modern of a phone as it gets. It's at 66% charge. I plugged in a 15w Samsung charger with a single usb-a port. It puts it in Fast Charging mode and time to full is 46 minutes. I plug in a Samsung 25w charger single usb-c and it puts it into Super Fast charging mode. The estimated time to full is 42 minutes. That's a 4 minute difference. 4 minutes. I think I can live with waiting 4 more minutes most of the time. And if I can't, well 99% of the time, I don't need 2 devices that urgently can't wait 4 minutes. But you are right about 1 thing. You do you.
And again, why did you bother clicking on a post for a 67w charger when you know it will not provide enough for 2 of your devices? I have never seen a 67w or 65w charger that splits the wattage in half. No one but you would buy that for the reason I stated above.
The use case is not to go from 66% to 100%. Try this at home go: from 5% to 45% and see what the difference is. I've measured it with a wattage meter and going from 5% to 25% you're charging at 45 Watts and then it's decreases from there. From 80 to 100% you're pulling no more than 15 watts even if you're on a super fast charger. So if you forget to charge your phone one night and wake up at <5% and you need to head out the door in 20 minutes, a Super Fast Charge 2.0 charger will help. Samsung S26 ultra can charge at 60 Watts with a Super Fast Charge 3.0 charger. Sure comes in handy on those days when I forget to plug in my phone at night.

I get that. But again, what are the chances of that happening to 2 devices at the same time. Remember the argument is not about whether this charger can charge at 45w+, the complaint from the other person is having it charge 30w+ on 2 devices. So in your example, what are the chances of you forgetting to charge 2 phones or devices overnight and needing that super fast charging in the morning?

You must not have kids. Bottom line is that the charger sucks if it cannot at least split the wattage evenly between two ports that other chargers of the same size with even higher output ratings can do. Its a waste of money and frustration dealing with it. There are PLENTY of higher output chargers JUST as compact that allow this for not much more money and not having to stress is PRICELESS. For example even the basic amazon basics charger below does this.

It's much more practical and convenient having actual useable ports that output the wattage you want or need simultaneously. Nuff said

Says you. Most people who buy this plan on using it for a laptop as well as a phone. If you split it evenly, you can't use it for the laptop. Most people would prefer 45+20 rather than 30+30. If that's not you, move along. You are linking to a 120w charger. It's twice the price and noticeably bigger. Of course it can split the wattage because it will still be enough for a laptop. Even the Anker 67w splits it 45+20. Pretty much all of them do.
And yes, I travel with 4 people in my household. We have yet to ever let a phone die on any of us when we travel. I make sure of that.

I received mine today. I'm new to these kinds of chargers and was surprised by how heavy it was. It has a heft my other, smaller wattage chargers don't have. Scale says 121g or 4.3 oz. I can see why some people find 140w chargers pretty dang heavy.

It gets warmer than expected, even when using the single top USB-C port on a small laptop rated to only expect 45w. Bit curious, but I don't have much to compare it to.
