The Z623 is a compact 2.1 desktop speaker system best known for big bass and loud, room filling sound. The subwoofer gets the most praise, with long term owners describing it as powerful enough for dorm parties and still going strong after years on a PC. At this price, it stands out as a strong value for anyone wanting a simple, punchy setup. The main caveat is reliability, especially the power button and control module, and this version appears to offer only aux and RCA inputs, not optical.
Desktop listeners wanting room-filling bass, because the subwoofer is described as a monster that can blast music loud enough for dorm parties.
PC gamers and music listeners who keep speakers powered on for years, because the system has held up for 10 to 15 years in desktop use.
People using analog audio from a computer or older TV, because the inputs work well when optical is not needed.
Buyers comparing wattage on a 2.1 setup, because the subwoofer and satellites have substantial RMS output for desktop listening.
People who want a maintenance-free system, because the power button can fail over time and require leaving the unit on.
Buyers who need long-term reliability from every component, because control modules, subwoofers, and satellite speakers can fail or blow out over time.
TV owners planning to rely on optical input, because toslink can produce loud feedback or fail with some newer televisions.
Listeners expecting a fully modern input set, because this version appears to have only aux and RCA.

Its mostly in the sub. I still have 2 sets of the Z680's from early 2000's that still knock frames off the wall. The sub is beastly for how small it is. Now I dont know how their current stuff is, but the 680s were beastly for a PC setup.
