The Anker SOLIX S2000 is a lightweight 2,010Wh portable power station that stands out for efficient home backup and UPS style use. The low price, free shipping, and free account login requirement make the deal especially sharp, and the unit is praised for strong inverter efficiency, fast under 10 millisecond switchover, and long cell life. It can run essentials like a fridge, kettle, fans, and device charging, and the 400W solar input can help in the right setup. The main tradeoffs are limited solar charging, no 12V output, and a 1,500W inverter that is less flexible than some alternatives. A solid fit if your priority is compact backup over heavy camping use.

Are we sure this store is really an authorized dealer? Anker will only honor the warranty if bought from an authorized dealer

costco sells this? i dont see it on their website.
It was sold out in June, if you lookup Costco Anker on search you'll see it pop up. Hoping it'll come back since you get the benefit of Costco's generous return policy

Can go to Youtube, but everyone is pretty high on it. The weight for a 2kwh unit is basically unheard of, the longevity on the cells is supposed to be like 15 years to 80% instead of 5 years. The efficiency on the inverter is supposed to be extremely high allowing this to work well running like a fridge for 48+ hours cycling on and off. So not only is it 2kwh in a lightweight unit, it's more usable than other 2kwh units because of the efficiency on the inverter.

Main downside compared to say Ankers C2000 unit is this is only a 1500 watt inverter instead of 1800+.
It's also pretty weak on the ability to charge from solar panels. It only accepts a max of about 8 to 12 amps and 400w.

"1V-28V⎓ 8.2A; 28V-60V⎓ 12.5A Max. (400W Max)"

That's not much for a 2000Wh unit. It doesn't have 12v DC output for camping fridge etc. It also doesn't have very good handles for moving around.

It's a great unit for home backup of a few essential items including a fridge for a relatively short period of time. It's not a great unit for camping, off-grid, or long term backup where you want to rely on daily solar recharge. It's a good value if it will handle what you need though

Yeah this one is designed more for UPS and efficiency home back up vs outdoor use, there are YouTube video yo can check out before buying. For outdoor use the C2000 gen2 is a better fit with the 12v socket, higher W for solar, expandable battery etc.

Yes, it's supposed to be a good UPS. It's been tested for under 10ms switchover. That means it's passthru when there is AC power and switches over very quickly when AC power is cut

I had the unit in my cart ready to check out and the deal seems to have died as of 5 minutes ago. I refreshed cart because I went to look for another product to add and I seem to have lost the promo pricing. Logged out, back in. Nothing.

No.

For a computer, you want something that can communicate with the computer and tell it to shut down before the battery runs out. This cannot do that.

All Anker power stations have pass-through. If there's a fan, it's for cooling during charging.

Why would you want your computer to shut down when you have a battery capacity this big. Why wouldn't I just shut the computer down myself? You must be talking about when you are not using the computer, which is not my use case since it's off when not in use.

that is a useful feature for sure but not totally a deal breaker. The traditional UPS has this feature because the battery only lasts like 20mins. This unit can probably keep it going for at least 30+ hrs more than enough time if you need to shut it off yourself. Even if you don't get to shut things down, almost everything now autosaves.
