Aliexpress sells all kinds of these that can hold 2 nvme AND also let you connect a half height PCIE card at the same time.

Raid Owl made a video about one of them.

FYI the included screws on the heatsink are very poorly made and stripe very easily, I was being very careful, as I had read the reviews saying this still and just open and closing it twice(to upgrade the firmware on my PS5 ssd) and the screws striped.

These look interesting. I have a a set of three Lenovo tiny that I've pulled the video card out of, and this looks like would fit comfortably inside to add another internal SSD to. Thanks!

What does the PS5 have to do with this?

Ahhhh, yes. Some random Ali Express chinese hardware to put into PCs..He didn't make a video specifically for it- Medley of other AE junk thrown it. There wasn't any testing or anything. Dude put it in a PC that didn't even have an OS on it, so he said. LOL

I mean it is NOT a PCIE switch. It is just a bunch of straight wires on a PCB. If you know anything about electrical engineering you will understand manufacturing this isn't rocket surgery.

One caveat. That card does require a motherboard with PCIE bifurcation. I forgot to mention it in my post, but the video I linked to does mention it.

This is EXACTLY the type of thing you should purchase on Aliexpress. It is a cheap simple to manufacture commodity item.

Oh, didn't even see your LIE. Yeah, he did test it, and it worked. He actually recommends it. If you look in the comments of the video someone else uses it and recommends it.

Again, these little PCBs are just a bunch of straight wires. Unless you are buying this for a business or government application where you need to document everything and CYA there is no need to pay 14× for a brand name silk screened onto a PCB that probably comes out of the exact same Chinese factory.🤣

PS5's use standard NVMe SSD's. I assume they used this to connect the SSD to their PC upgrade the firmware.

FWIW, I'm using a PS5 SSD in my PC right now. Purchased in the gold ol' days when a SSD didn't cost a kidney for a 1TB+ size Frown
