I sent this to Walgreens, you can do the same if you faced/face the same issue:
Subject: Complaint & Compensation Request: Order [Order Number]
To Walgreens Corporate Customer Care,
I am reporting a serious issue with pickup Order [Order Number], placed on [Date] at the [City, State] store.
My order was initially accepted because the items were in stock. Shortly after, the clearance items ([List canceled items]) were suddenly canceled.
It is obvious that employees are falsely marking these items "out of stock" so they can buy the discounted inventory for themselves. This internal hoarding is happening at Walgreens stores nationwide, and you need to get your act together.
I expect an investigation into the inventory logs for these items at this location, along with compensation for the wasted time and unacceptable experience.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]
[Your Email]
Yeah, I'm not doing that. I think it's just as likely that WG's has an awful inventory management system. There's definitely a big delay between when I buy something and it goes OOS online.

So you guys are saying - "We don't mind dealing with your awful inventory management system. Just keep doing what you are doing and we are totally fine with it. No need to improve.." Bravo!
Anyone go in store yesterday? I am debating going back to see what I can find
I'm going in about 30 minutes. When the $1 drop started, the lady at the register told me they had to clear all the World Cup stuff out to make space for Halloween. So they might've thrown whatever they didn't sell from the weekend.

I mean no, but also no where near as ridiculous as what you're saying!

What's so ridiculous about it?
Giving feedback on what's actually happening?
Not to label it a "non-serious issue" and just let it slide?
You really think I'm expecting a $10 or $20 coupon as compensation?!
What is ridiculous about calling out what's actually happening? Should I just brush it off as a "non-issue" and let it slide?
This was never about chasing a $10 or $50 coupon—it's about corporate accountability and putting a systemic problem on record.

Everything is supposed to be $1 in store.
