I did this deal for a set. Afterwards, I decided I wanted spare batteries for each unit. It turns out that the pair of spare batteries were as expensive as the original deal! Live and learn.

They trying to keep us watching the TV and on our but and then one day whammmie, our drones turn against us and we cant tell anyone because they took over the routerrs and we cant get to facebook. And it becomes a total SHTF scenario and you grab out your ham radio to call up the white hose to say pleaeze mr Trump save us, but find it's not strong enough, but you can get the local police who take your information and show up later to take yoru radios and give you a ticket for not having a license. SO you say, i'm going to see my friend in the country and pack up your car with gas tanks just in case and after traveling a ways, you notice you have less gass than you thought becasuse somene had purchased that chinese eletric fuel transfer device that actually worked, but you think no problem, you'll stop and get gas, but you decide not to because a riot was going on at the 7 -11 and Circle K and you thik they get what they deserve for all the price gouging they do and you fill up with the gas in yoru Vevor cans. Back ont he way, you notice that you have half what you thought you had becasue those cans must have been more like 2gals instead of 5 and you realize you wont make it to your friends house. End up runnng otu fo gas and hace no other choice but to start walking, which turns intoa panicy run as you notice the zombies

Yes, you need an amateur radio license to legally talk on these. you can find more information about acquiring a license at arrl.org - you learn a lot, I had a lot of fun (and still continue to even 15 years later). you can meet a whole bunch of cool people in your area, keep up on local weather, have a great line of communication when cellular and internet go out... imo totally worth it. pretty cheap too.

fwiw, this is NOT a joke - they use radio triangulation to find and fine you. it's rather expensive federal fine.
