It seems like a great deal on the surface, but that weight stack is really light...

The CG3 is a compact home functional trainer that stands out for smooth cables, easy assembly, and versatile cable work, from chest pressing and crossovers to arms, shoulders, and ab exercises. The 2 to 1 pulley setup means the effective resistance is only 110 pounds when both stacks are tied together, which feels light for some lifts. The listing also points to an optional 50 pound add on, though that upgrade sounds involved. It is a strong value for cable training if you can live with the lighter stack.

Common Questions (4)

It appears very similar in layout, but the Costco Centr 2 has a middle column for added stability, a 165 lb-per-side stack, and includes a bench plus a one-year subscription. The CG3 listing is the lighter, simpler version with a 110 lb 2:1 stack.
SiennaMeat5693 fllaming TomN25 TaterTotFart
The listing states you can buy and add an additional 50 lb of weights, but doing so may require extra parts like a longer stem and shorter cables. Adding more weights can also void the warranty.
ChristianS3297 globott razman CoralCrow6139
The CG3 uses a 2:1 ratio, so the effective resistance is 110 lb total when both sides are tied together, with 55 lb per stack independently. The lighter stack is the main limitation people point out for heavier movements.
LavenderWalrus2248 eyeseeyou TaterTotFart
It can be used for cable chest pressing with the right bar, but it is awkward for traditional bench press and not the best choice if benching is your main goal. It works better as a cable machine for chest variations, rows, arms, shoulders, and rope-based work.

i refused the $10 promo, because i wanted to request $25. They tried but didn't have permission to do that. I will be waiting for the delivery too.

Anyone who ordered this get any status updates yet? My order status hasn't moved off of 'placed'. I know freight shipping means it'll move slower, but figured it might start moving by now.

Mine just updated to 'preparing'! Hopeful

Edit: now cancelled & chatting with CS about it

If it hadn't said 2 day shipping, I would have expected a week or so anyway, so we'll worth waiting.

My order never moved from "preparing" item never went out of stock on Walmart website. However Pricing did go up. Unfortunately I received a cancellation email.

Sloppy shitty of Walmart to cancel out on a machine that could potentially change your life. Keep an eye out for the Centr version at Costco with the full weight stack. It's worth getting a membership just for that deal.

Do chat, ask for a live agent and request they reinstate the order. They won't, but at least you'll get a promo code for $10.
