Both sales are for everyone with different stipulations. The 30% off is for everyone for anything $10 and under, but if you're ITC then you can apply it to $20 and under. Then there will be a Parking Lot Sale, and ITC gets a few days of exclusive access to that first, followed by access for everyone. Hope that helps!

Oh, and if you're interested in becoming a member, the better deal is to go into a store and buy 2 years for $45 instead of 1 year for $30. My membership has easily paid for itself (or cost me way more, haha!)

Harbor Freight's 30 percent coupon is strongest for cheap consumables and small tools, especially when it stacks with Instant Savings. Examples include PB Blaster, cleaning and detailing supplies, a magnetic tool mat for about $14, hardy gloves, and a 6 inch C clamp at $6.99. The deal also works on phone checkout and multiple quantities of the same item can count as one toward the limit in some cases. The main catches are a strict five item cap, some checkout confusion on whether ITC pricing or Instant Savings wins, and reports that prices on many under $20 items have crept up.

  • The deal can stack with Instant Savings on eligible items, which can lower your out-the-door price further.

    Caleojdg33tunabreath

  • The magnetic tool mat example shows the 30% coupon can bring a $19.99 item down to about $14 after discounts.

    CaleoDmitriyZ

  • The coupon can extend to items priced up to $20 for ITC members, which increases the range of discounted products.

    drot84

  • The coupon can be used for practical small purchases like trim removal tools and a measuring tape under $10.

    Tempo4200

  • The 5-item limit can be enforced at checkout in a way that counts each unit separately, so buying six items may result in only five discounted.

    cdudebookerttt

  • Some in-store experiences show the 30% coupon not applying to Instant Savings items as expected, including cases where the clerk says the lower price wins.

    frugal23tunabreath

  • Coupon access can be unreliable, including reports of expired coupons that fail at checkout and privacy-related issues after contacting the company.

    SaintQuinnDoce

  • Harbor Freight has raised prices on many under-$20 items while the 30% coupon amount stays the same, which can reduce the apparent savings.

Got tons of crap to return, I'll buy 1 or 2 things i need on sale. I just told em other day. Buying crap not on sale is dumb
I almost never buy anything small unless it's highly discounted. They've trained me to wait just for these sales.

These are nice for the consumables e.g. PB blaster, cleaning/detailing products, etc.. especially when something's on Instant Savings, because it will stack - like the magnetic mat did recently ($19.99-30%=$14).

Probably get some more hardy gloves currently at instant save so it would stack.

HF has raised the price of so many of under $20 items, but the coupon stays the same and isn't adjusted.

Perfect timing. Just have to wait a week. I need a 6 inch C clamp and found one at HF (cheaper than Home Depot). 30% off $6.99 is even better. https://www.harborfreight.com/6-i...37850.html

All clamps will be 40% off during the parking lot sale they'll have in the middle of August (8/14-16 for everyone, 8/10-13 for ITC Members) so if you can wait a few weeks you'd save a little more, and shouldn't have a limit of 5!
