Good price! Ordered and then cancelled them myself.. I have a few pounds of 3" fasteners and use them so sparingly I don't need more. They're pretty specific, especially the drywall variety.

Yeah, 3" exterior fasteners I can use, 3" drywall screws are a bit much. Would bite on 1-1/4"

3" drywall screws? Great chance to puncture water lines and electrical wires with no benefit vs 1 1/4" ones. No thank you.

3" drywall screws sold out. I can't believe the hate this got because the screws are too long? Good grief. I literally shared a commonly used commodity for 1/3 the going price. We use 3" screws all the time and they are sold by the thousands in every major hardware store worldwide, so apparently others do as well.

I hope people understand that these have endless uses, and more than just hanging sheetrock which would be 1-1/4 to 1-5/8 anyways. And drilling blind into a wall is not a product failure, but an operator failure. But i do realize that some people's brains have only one slow speed.

I've shared several frontpage deals in last couple days, and barely a thanks or a rep. I had many more deals to post, but am honestly going to take a break because the stupidity here is unbearable. Every non-deal poster here seems to need to "challenge" every submission lately, which is honestly taking the fun out of sharing deals that save the like-minded folks money. I am one of the minority of non-shill /non-paid posters, and that's the thanks the community gives lately.

Maybe I'll just keep deals to myself from now on, it's a waste of time anyways that I'm not getting paid for. Probably wasted an hour finding, researching and sharing the deal. Congrats to those that got in on the deal, because it's over now and many people missed out because of a few thread crappers, while other competing websites picked up on, and expired the deal. So ironically, this made even less slickdeals users be able to get in on the deal.

Oh well, I guess people love their shill deal posts that get recycled endlessly with "new codes." "These screws Are tOo lOnG," and what's more is people back them up.. unbelievable. End rant.

Agreed. So many uses for a 3" screw. I use these to "tie" 2x4 to studs behind 1/2 drywall for bracing. Perfect for that
