This refurbished MSI gaming desktop stands out for packing high-end parts like an RTX 5080, 64GB of DDR5, and a 2TB Gen4 SSD at a price that undercuts comparable new systems. The configuration is also described as a strong value for the CPU and memory, with some comparing it favorably to building the same setup from scratch. The main cautions are the limited 180 day MSI warranty, conflicting warranty wording on the spec sheet, and reports of refurb units arriving with swapped parts or Windows activation issues. It looks like a solid spec sheet deal, but the after-sale support deserves a close look.
Gamers building around 64GB DDR5 and a fast SSD, because the included memory and 2TB storage make the price look strong versus buying parts separately.
Buyers comparing refurbished desktops to new high-end rigs, because the same class of specs can cost over $3000 new.
Shoppers comfortable with a refurbished desktop from the manufacturer, because the unit can arrive looking brand new and run benchmarks and stress tests cleanly.
People who want a ready-to-use gaming tower with a strong GPU, because the configuration can deliver a 5080-class setup at a lower price than buying new.
Buyers who need long warranty coverage, because the listing shows only 180 days and the warranty terms can be inconsistent.
Shoppers who want guaranteed matching parts, because a reconditioned unit can arrive with different storage and memory than the listing photos show.
People who need a trouble-free Windows setup, because the installed copy can arrive needing activation and may require an RMA to sort out.
Owners who expect dependable manufacturer support, because warranty claims can be denied and repairs can come back with missing screws or disconnected cables.

Even if you just want to harvest the GPU and RAM, you can recover about $700 for the rest.
That's the crappy market we're in.
$900 video card (using the best price in the past week)
$700 64GB $700 (slick deal in the past month)
$300 2TB $300 (just guessing, not that super expensive always now anyway and it's Gen4, not Gen5)
$200 9700X I sold one for $200 retail $270
$2100 before PSU Case OS which is maybe $150 total max to $2250 DIY build.

I'm saying if you keep the GPU and RAM, you can probably get $700 for the rest without any friction.
