I'm taking a chance on it, most see the 930 as the second best soundbar you can buy. I just got a Hisense one from Costco so will compare the two and see if either can beat my old Vizio which actually still sounds really good to my ears (the app is garbage and the arc port was so unreliable I ended up switching to optical, which is why I'd like a modern upgrade)
Usually I say avoid fair quality, but it's worth ordering and driving to the store imo to see it in person. Extreme YMMV, but I've had luck in the past with managers throwing in a free generic charger/controller if it was missing in the box but again, ymmv on the store/manager.
All that said, it's always a possibility that the store manager just wanted to clear it from inventory and marked it in fair condition. I got a new condition 42" LG C2 back in the day for only $400 when it was still $800 new. The manager said he marked every open box item in the store to fair condition because they had too many and just wanted to clear inventory as quick as possible.
Samsung - HW-Q990D/ZA open box and it was just opened never used . it's open box TVs I would be concerned about as Best Buy employees man handle these TVs once returned and constantly damage inner led lanel

Managers never budge for me on either discounting it to a lower tier or replace the missing items. Last time I was going to buy an Open Box item I asked the manager if i could inspect it prior to purchase to ensure it has everything it should and its in good condition, and they refused. At that point I stopped buying BB Open box items entirely.

I've returned every one of the handful of Open Box items I've purchased because their grading system is worthless. I've only ever bought "Excellent" and every one has been missing essential accessories (remotes, chargers, etc), and have visible damage, despite it supposedly being "Like New" and "Includes all accessories."

Not using it for anything where I need sound to blow me away, but so far I'm happy with it, and it was super easy to set up.
That said, this will be a much much better speaker setup, albeit at still a $300 premium to the Costco Hisense.
