The panel is WVA which is another way of saying IPS, which Dell trademarked. So, this is definitely not VA, but IPS which you could have easily verified by doing some research and checking Dell's official spec sheet; even the QHD+ display is labeled WVA, are you going to call it VA too?

It amazes me how many people say soldered RAM is "no-go". Almost every non-gaming laptop has soldered RAM. So which laptops are a "go" for you? Certainly nothing thin and light. Why people look at these laptops like they might have SODIMM slots is beyond me. Plus, have you looked at the price of SODIMM's? If you did, you'd see you probably wouldn't buy them anyways.
