I have been happy with the AA batteries. The charger itself gets a bit warm. I have 2 sets of the charger with 8 AA batteries. I don't really need any AAA.

It was $10.44 the first time, $9.91 the second time.

Wrapping is very thick so some device would jam up. Tight fit that's nearly impossible to removed from my 9 cell battery flash light 3x3x3

My experience with rechargeable batteries is triple A rechargeables are useless no matter what brand. I have had good luck with double A rechargeables. The triple A's are just too small to keep a charge long and they will have you recharging them quite often. Stick with double A rechargeables or bigger. Just giving advice from somebody who has been through a lot of triple A rechargeables.
