We have this and this is amazing. We had another stronger one and we are scared that it will hurt the baby. We have been using this for 6 months and it's still good. They have different attachments for each month to make it better and we have still on the 0 month level and it's still good after 6 months! Totally recommend

But you want it to be weak to use it for a newborn. My newborn nails were so soft it would be hard to polish if it was much stronger

This is weak to the point of being useless. I had another cheap Chinese one that worked fine for my first from his newborn days up to being a toddler. You just need to use the right attachment for the type of nail your baby has.
