Someone stole my cc details but not the physical card while I was in an international airport this summer. Should have had one of these!

People think RFID skimming doesn't exist anymore but it most certainly does in much of the world. In for 1 for upcoming international travel

That's not how it works. The chip on your credit card is encrypted. You likely had your credit card details stolen from the magnetic strip, possibly at a point-of-sale terminal with a skimmer attached.

There's no such thing as RFID skimming. You're confusing the RFID chip with the magnetic strip that's unencrypted on your credit card. The RFID chip on your credit card is protected by rotating encryption. The card is compromised when the magnetic strip is scanned by a skimmer hidden on a point-of-sale device. The magnetic strip is unencrypted. There has been no such incident of anyone being able to hack the encryption on an RFID chip.

All RFID blocking products are snake oil; it's a solution for a problem that doesn't exist. Anytime you use your credit card, always make sure that the skimmer isn't attached to the POS device. Or better yet, use contactless transactions.

The card was my emergency backup on this trip. It never came out of my hidden pocket the entire time. But less than 24 hours after passing through a major international airport, someone tried to use it at a different international airport duty free store. My card issuer caught it before I did!

There's no such technology that would allow someone scan your RIFD chip and brake the encryption in 24 hours. You're grasping at straws. Like I said, the card is encrypted. Learn about how encryption for RFID cards work. You got the card's magnetic strip skimmed. No magic snake oil blocking pouch would protect you from that.
