this one has the edge on the steam machine thanks to 50-series DLSS and hardware upgradeability; can easily play 1440p on higher settings with ray tracing using 2x frame gen for a stable 60+ fps

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB generally outperforms the PlayStation 5 Pro GPU in raw theoretical compute power, boasting 23.7 TFLOPS of FP32 performance compared to the PS5 Pro's 18.05 TFLOPS.
In real-world gaming benchmarks, performance is often considered ballpark equivalent, with the PS5 Pro sometimes showing better stability in demanding ray-traced titles like Alan Wake 2 due to its larger VRAM buffer, while the RTX 5060 Ti benefits from superior DLSS 4 technology and higher clock speeds. The RTX 5060 Ti consumes less power (180W TDP vs 232W) and is built on a newer Blackwell 2.0 architecture, whereas the PS5 Pro uses an RDNA 2.0
In other words, you can "dial in" the graphics settings and run 1440p w Ray Tracing and get 90+ frames per second running DLSS 4 (2x frame gen) - the base ps5 can barely run 30 fps and ps5 pro runs at 40-60 frames and still doesn't look nearly as good using PSSR2 (vs DLSS4).
I wouldn't call getting 44% more frames "barely"

trust me, i was also skeptical but i think this is one of those "gaming on pc" benefits - being able to dial in the graphics settings and get some truly amazing results https://youtu.be/zs29KzEa5bY?si=D..._59&t=1774

Yes, it's always shocking how a quick search with factual data can quickly provide accurate information but as it requires "reading" more than a single worded response is automatically labelled slop. I'll try to dumb it down moving forward.
Here's a video showing you how versatile this card is (it's actually the older rtx 5060), sorry i couldn't make it a 5 sec tiktok you wouldn't struggle through. If you can, try to pay attention to the corners, they contain words and numbers which I know can be difficult when watching a video but I assure you the real world "data" in the boxes should provide you with a better answer if you find it too diffuclt parsing through the data within the "AI slop" - https://youtu.be/zs29KzEa5bY?si=D..._59&t=1774
