Don't group me into this "we" you speak of. I enjoy 5 and Revelations quite a bit. 6 isn't great, but there's fun to be had with a friend. Haven't played 8 or 9 yet, but I'm sure they're fun as well.

Sad to say but I only ever payed RE1 when I had a PS1, then turned to a PC until last year when I picked up a used PS5 phat for $150. This seems like a good deal. Not sure which one to pick up, whats the best one? Do you need to play them in order?

RE2 is largely considered the best, followed by RE4. I personally don't agree on RE4. At this price, just get them all, they're all good.

And I haven't properly followed the story across the games, but I still enjoy them. Each game can stand alone as a story (same story for each, holy shit there's zombies, better GTFO).
