I just randomly checked my Uber app today under the 'send a gift' section and I had a 10% off gift card promo active. YMMV

I forgot to note the expiration date on this but I think it said July 28.

Obv not as good as the 15% off they had going the last time, but better than nothing.

Wrong. Pre-authed with multiple card issuers, "verified" multiple cards with multiple banks with random amounts, and same issue.

Edit: Also cleared cache, cleared storage, uninstalled and reinstalled app, logged out and back in. Same error every time.

Well then either you're banks really don't trust you or you've got a corrupted install. The discount works for everyone else if you pre-auth or retry after verifying. Some cards won't reject at all.
