yea, benchmarks will do that if you overclock, lol. Most GPUs begin to throttle or risk damage above 100–105°C, though some AMD cards are designed to boost until hitting a threshold around 110°C. Basically, your Nvidia GPU is actually hotter than whats being reported by the tools provided by your PC and Nvidia.

Had some time in between work and ran Furmark2 after reverting back to stock cpu/gpu settings; didn't break 65C on GPU so I'd say HP did in fact fix the thermal issue and the peformance score was 189k

Thanks, OP. I picked one up for work. I'll have to disable the obnoxious RGB lighting, but this seemed like the cheapest way to get a complete system with an RTX 5070 Ti.

I have had an older version of this machine for a few years now. Mine has a 4070 ti and i9.

It's been a good machine overall. The main annoying thing is upgrading the ram or bios resets its speed back to the default 4800mhz. Each time.

Not something super frequent but I find it irritating.

Having to enable XMP after a RAM or BIOS update has been my experience on most motherboards. Not a big deal, I think.

In the short-term it may appear wise but in the long-term it is not. You self-insure for things like this. If you spend the money, well, that's on you. If you take all the money you would have paid in extended warrantee premiums over a lifetime and stick it in a basic S&P fund, you will come out way ahead. Then, when something breaks you pay for it out of packet. That's just one of many frugal behaviours people who build wealth exhibit. Insurance companies exist for one reason. To profit. They take your money and come up with a barrage of reasons to not pay out when you have a claim.
