MuscleTech Platinum 8 Hour Protein Powder is a thick, filling blend of whey, whey isolate, and casein that stands out mainly as a cheaper protein option in a pricey market. The vanilla flavor is described as decent, while the chocolate version gets hit with fake sweetness, a funky casein note, gritty texture, and a very fine powder that can get messy. The label also raises questions, with conflicting serving information and a formula that looks heavy on filler and carbs. The extended eight hour claim feels more like marketing than a real benefit, making this a practical but imperfect pick if price matters most.

So it's whey, whey isolate and casein protein. The 8 hour feeding claims seems a bit bold and I don't see how they can really claim that. Might be a worthwhile edition for a post evening workout shake but otherwise this just feels like typical Muscletech bs.

This stuff isnt very good, but everything else is overpriced; purportedly the insane protein prices are being attributed to people on GLP-1 🙄
Because every company is making a "+protein" variant of their food and it's causing a whey shortage.

I don't know what it is about this protein powder but it tastes super fake and nasty.
It's the casein protein for sure. Always has a funk to me.

It's not glp1s only 12% of the population has tried them with 55% quitting them within a year due to side effects, lost enough weight or cut off due to cost and insurance. The protein being added to everything like Starbucks drinks and Doritos chips has those makers chasing whey protein powder driving up costs.Protein added is a fad that will fizzle out like low carb and fat free.

I tried to S&S this last month, Amazon confirmed the savings, but then a few days before my S&S delivery date there was a charge to my cc of the full undiscounted amount. I immediately canceled and resubscribed for next month. So far, Amazon is telling me that it's going to charge me $31.58 next month. If they pull the same stunt again next month, I'll just cancel again and not resubscribe. You gotta watch them like a hawk, sneaky fuggers.

It's like 5-hour energy, except it lasts 3 more hours. LOL, in actuality it's nothing, it's a stupid marketing gimmick.

Good deal, not the best protein (too much filler), but I bought it anyway.

Sucralose. No thanks.
I agree, most these protein powders with fake sweeteners have a terrible aftertaste

Only reason why any of these came about is because all the people on GLP-1 don't want to get protein from having a balanced diet, or at the very least supplement regular whey protein powder.

Which is ironic, because the reason very reason why most people resorted to GLP-1 in the first place is because of having a bad diet.

All this crap is a bandaid fix, until they get their diet in check.

Probably takes 8 hours to digest before transforming internally.
