My s23u just died so looking into a "new" phone. Would it be worth getting this or waiting on a deal on the s26u?
Not much difference between the S25U & S26U, but the S27U is rumored to bring long-overdue, major generational changes—including potential leaps like a much larger silicon-carbon battery, a 2nm Snapdragon processor with LPDDR6 RAM, and significant camera hardware overhauls.
Ebay seller Cellfeee has the S24 Ultra 1TB in good condition for about $550 with the same code. I bought one. It has three small, light scratches on the screen, but it seems perfect other than that. https://ebay.io/m/J25Abs

I would expect the same except a larger battery pack, as global lithium-ion cells battery shipping restrictions of 20 Wh approx 5000mAh, which is both Samsung and Apple use in their flagship phones.

It died? Or was there an accident? My Note 20 Ultra is still working fine after 6 years. If the S27U has a longer battery life and significantly faster processor, I might actually upgrade.

Straight up died. If you look up s23 ultra doesn't turn on, you'll find a bunch of reddit post. No physical damage anywhere. My wife was actually really upset because she knows how well I take care of my phones.

Do you care about Bluetooth on the sPen? cause s24u is the last one to have it unless they decide to bring it back.
I got a refurbished excellent conditioned 512gb s24u for $550 a couple months ago. It's been really good, but I'm upgrading from a 256gb s24 so it was pretty large upgrade for me.

I'd expect a crazy price to go along with these improvements. Maybe $2k will be the new norm?

This is tempting but s27 series is rumored to have a pro model that has a lot of the specs of ultra but at a smaller size. That would be potentially game changing for me. I went from 21ultra to base s24 and I genuinely much prefer the small form factor but sometimes miss the battery life (easily fixed with a mini powerbank) and camera system of ultra (cannot be fixed).
If 27pro brings high end camera system in base or plus form factor, that would unironically be the first major mind blowing innovation to me in ages. This is as someone who has exclusively had Samsung phones for decades+
I would get it if one doesn't care about refurb condition. My s25U has been the best Samsung to date. And I had a taste of many different Note and Ultra gens, 25U was where they finally got it right in terms of performance and battery life. Just perfect.
Otherwise, shape, spen, vibration, body style, hope those can be improved in new gens.

Turns out there's a major motherboard issue
