I currently have a Fold 6. Unfortunately, the inner display developed a leak after about a year and a half of daily use.
Compared to the Fold 6:
- Fold 8 Ultra: Feels very similar overall, but it's noticeably thinner and slimmer.
- Fold 8 (regular): There are a few major differences:
- The inner display is much more rectangular—about 60% more like the Ultra—rather than the squarer shape of the Fold 6/8 Ultra.
- The camera zoom is much more limited, around 1x–2x, while the Ultra offers 0.6x–30x zoom.
- The regular Fold 8 is much more compact and pocket-friendly. The Fold 8 Ultra is larger and will stick out of your pocket more.
Both the Fold 8 and Fold 8 Ultra feels significantly lighter and thinner than my Fold 6, and the difference is immediately noticeable when you hold them.Join The Conversation
