Past two metro deals I grabbed Razr and Moto G Stylus had 8GB of ram. This A37 has 6GB, there is also an option for a a17 or tcl which has 4GB.

Back when the unlock was 60days, i would always buy one of these as a spare phone, now that it's 365 days, its not worth it.

Maybe it works. I had used mint phones on metro in the past. In fact when I had mint last year if you look up the profile its a metro profile. I know in VVB you can move them (Take a tracfone and put it on visible or total for instance). I would go ask in the metro forum (mint forum is hostile).

The only common thing between all attempts was the phone number to be ported from H2O which doesn't have a name or address (zip code) in the account. The most annoying part is that it does it at the last screen after collecting and verifying all the information. Now there are like 5 $40 holds on Credit Card which will probably take a few days to fall through.

Does the "buy, hold service for first month, cancel, and wait out the unlock period" strategy work for other phones like this?
I'm eyeing the iPhone 16e deal. Initial payment is $99. (no need $100 visa card as keeping $55 plan for 3 months would cost $165+tax)
  1. activate it and cancel within a month (pay $99 for iphone and $55 first month plan + Tax)
  2. Hold the phone for another 8–9 months until the 365-day unlock requirement hits.
Would this strategy work for all phones listed on Metro?
