And that doesn't change the fact that laptops and everything else are getting crazy.. I got a m5 air 24 / 1tb for 500 less than the current price after the increases.. never have you been able to buy a laptop and sell it for a several hundred dollar profit

No! 16 gigs of soldered on Non-replaceable Non-upgradable RAM is a bad deal at anywhere near this price. Contrary to one commenter, Oled means nothing. Plug one in if you need one, but it adds "zero" value to any laptop, never pay extra for those meaningless 4 letters! I have last years version of this and I can eat all of that RAM simply browsing the web. 16gig's ain't enough for anything today running MS Windows 11. The thing idles at 50% utilization, just sitting there doing nothing MS eats half the RAM. I got a much better deal on mine and I bought the thing for one very specific use case that does not require much RAM, but I still regret the purchase.
Just fair warning.

Somebody clearly doesn't know how modern OS uses ram.

Somebody clearly likes to talk out of their southern cheeks because they obviously have no experience with anything here in the real world. Don't even talk to me child, I own one of these, I live it!

It looks almost decent until you realize the integrated GPU on this has only 2 Xe cores so it's more or less the same sort of performance as the integrated HD graphics from the core-i series (weak, terrible).

Then there's the part where you can't upgrade the RAM and you start to remember how less than a year ago you could still buy laptops with dedicated GPU's for this price...

Then you realize Acer themselves sell last-gen core-ultra based refurbished laptops on their own ebay outlet with 2-year warranties that have the same integrated graphics onboard as the MSI Claw 8 AI+ handheld gaming PC (good enough to play any game on planet earth with low settings) for about the same or often hundreds less than this new laptop. Oh and some have twice the RAM...

Such as:

They've also sold the 226v based laptops (one Xe core less than the GPU on the MSI Claw 8 AI+ and 16GB RAM) for under $400:
