Northeast Ohio winters but I have a very short driveway and haven't needed anything more than a single stage. I have an 80v Kobalt mower but haven't heard anything about the snow blowers.
Yes, space saving is great. But afaik, you can fold an ego 2-stage and make it "smaller". The manual chute direction control is lame.

2200W is 3HP. The smallest gas blowers are 6HP. Definitely a light duty machine if you get light duty snow... but at that point I'd get a corded snow shovel. Small and about as powerful.

As for " is a right snowblower" it really depends on what kind of snow/ice, how much, and how quickly it falls/how many times you plan to blow. If you expect 6"+ overnight, and it's wet and/or icy, and you not waking up in middle of night to blow, get a 2 stage that throws far enough to prevent creating a bigger pile. If you have 1-2" and powdery, better off with a sweeper. The sweet spot for single stage is somewhere 3-6" lighter/non icy stuff, or you disciplined enough to blow before it exceeds this amount.
