Do not buy anything less then the io model 3. They motors aren't as strong or fast for good brush.

Do not buy anything less then the io model 3. They motors aren't as strong or fast for good brush.

Citation? These branded brushes can cost upwards of $100 and often break after just two years. They also don't charge or develop mold simply because they get wet. Personally, I went back to a basic hand brush, but I've read about people using cheaper Amazon knockoffs and simply replacing them every couple of years.

My wife and I used Philips for the last 12 years and we only had to replace them once. So they lasted roughly 5-6 years for us. We wanted to try the oral B, but it just feels cheap compare to the philips, and it definitely have more crevices for mold to grow and debris to get trap. So we returned it and stuck with Philips.

There is a p&g promo for the series io 5 from Costco. Buy 2 separately and then file for rebate for >$100. Then you can get the series 5 for not too much. I love my series 3.

The Oral-B iO Series 2 uses a simpler linear pulse drive motor, while the iO Series 3 features a more advanced frictionless magnetic drive motor that provides a slightly stronger and more robust cleaning sensation. Note: 3 and higher. Now, whether the result is different clinically is unknown.

these are trash. I hate mine. Much prefer the 'only one' model listed presently on here for 8 bucks. it's a very great toothbrush. the oral b is a terribly designed under performing piece of hot garbage. I absolutely regret they got my money and I hate using it, which I rarely do.

Mine broke after 6 years. The silicon around the button had a tear. Water went in and mess up the motor. It would start up in the middle of the night scaring the living hell out of me.

Agreed with this point. The Philips just feels like a more premium product and mine typically last 5+ years. The Oral B has a design flaw in which the brush head stem is thicker and has a hole in it allowing gunk and mold to grow. Compared to the Philips, where the brush head stem is slimmer and there is no hole in it for mold /gunk to collect.

i just went and order smart 360 pair from oral B because their motor can go 20000 RPM vs these garbage magnetic drive motor that spin off and protect your gums , i hated it and they are 70 vs new io BS , u need to get series 5 or higher to get decent toothbrush

Can confirm use of the P&G, buying this device plus some add on's to get to $100. Uploaded receipt, and had the Costco digital gift card within a few days
