I'm not sure about this brand, but these magnetic connectors are really great. I wouldn't go back to just clamps. Make sure you get the right type for your setup. My state doesn't allow the cheaper crinkly type of dryer vent which these tend to come with pre attached and built in/not removable. You can get ones that don't have any vent attached to them, so you can attach your own. I think some of the magnets are better for angles and some straight on. The magnets are very strong but won't align correctly if it's not the right kind for your setup.

I'm not a professional which is why I don't know any technical terms or anything. This is just my experience installing it myself.

That aluminum foil vent material will get flagged by the inspector around here, but it seems like you could just put the magnets on some solid ductwork.

Sure would make it easy to clean the ducts or pull the dryer out for service.

I have now attached mine to the pipe, but it was incredibly hard to do it. In fact the guy who came to install the washing machine and dryer just left it after an hour of trying as he had to deliver other units. The pipe that comes out if the vent is inside a small opening. Something like this would have been tremendous help. I dread the time that I'd have to remove it to clean the dryer vent that runs outside. Maybe next time I plan to clean the vent I'll buy something like this first and see if that makes it any easier.

per the reviews, the foil vent material is garbage but the rest is good. In for 2 for rentals

+1 to what bluekiwi said. I replaced my old and long dryer vent duct which I didn't realize was causing my dryer to overheat installation was a breeze, but the vent material is flimsy so be careful especially if you don't have a lot of room to work with. I've had it install for over months no and no issues. Just waiting for the day I have to detach it and reattach it back when its due for cleaning.

Edit: I did a test a couple times during installation, but I don't have a lot of room. Washer & Dryer are in the kitchen in a small area. When I was attempting to move it the vent attached to the Dryer fell off during removal which was annoying, but once its on its on and thats because of the heavy magnet its very bottom heavy. I should note I had to put some kind of 2x4 under the vent parts to support it.
