It is the old style of battery, but based on the serial code it was manufactured in 2025. Meaning it's not a battery that has been sitting around for years and should have good capacity. I'm somewhat surprised and thought they had discontinued making the older style of battery.

The one I got says "Extended Run" on it. Does that mean anything or it is just marketing? It is big and clunky but I'm mainly just using it in a lawn mower so not an issue there.

Another deal might come up. I kept the charger and battery and sold the chain saw for $100 as I already have an 18" chain saw.
