great price but merv 14 and 1''? this is going to be so hard for your hvac if your house is dusty, and require frequent replacement

People don't realize their blower motors are air cooled. I've seen a MERV 14 filter take out a blower motor before. If you need more than a MERV 8 buy a dedicated air purifier stand alone unit and let your furnace or ahu actually breathe as most houses lack return air from the get go then people put this garbage in it.

I presume you are aware the issue you are referencing has nothing to do with "MERV" Rating but rather "Pressure Drop" caused by the impedance of the filter preventing proper air flow through the filter. Starting with Merv 13, 3M moves to an advanced Plete Feature that increases the surface area for the air to travel through significantly cutting pressure drop and strain on the system so it less than even their Merv 5 and 7 filters. The Merv 14 while higher is till less than those wih much lower ratings. There are plenty of independent studies on the 3M filters showing this....Which is why I go with the Merv 13. A little more expensive, but cuts power bills vs the lower merv but greater pressure drop units.

Fake news, watch project farms review on these. When dirty the only filters that did better were 2", 4", and the junk see through filters. These have a ton of pleats they filter while letting tons of air through.

People don't realize that they are spreading misinformation (you). Look at the project farm review on these. The actual science says these breathe better than any other filter when dirty except for 2", 4" and the crappy see through filters. You're worse off with any other 1" filter.
