Similar processor to the steam machine but that ddr5 is what kills the value proposition. If someone buys it and holds onto it for a year it might still be worth it if a deal happens between now and then on ram. But holding onto a $150 processor for a dream is hard. But if you just want to build your own steam machine Its a good price.

It's too bad they raised the price of the 7500x3D bundle. Even at $400, it's still probably a better deal than this for gaming, if you don't already have ram and a mobo

That was some bullshit move they did

7500X3D + Mobo was $200

then they raised it to $250

The 7500X3d+Mobo+Ram was $350 then $400

They made 7500X3D + Mobo = $400 also (same as the one with ram) to force you to get RAM also.


Rather get 9600X vs this deal for $25 more.

It is luck that I got my 7500x3d+16g+asrock 850m for $300 two months ago.

I am wathcing this to fall to $250 and I will pick up a few. This is great deal as I already have 4x32GB DD5 RAM to deploy so I could deploy 1 DIMM and possibly get away with it since 3D-VCache is in place.

I've heard RAM and HBM contracts have been signed through the end of 2027. Idk if it's true but I wouldn't want to hold onto a PC part for over a year waiting for RAM prices to change. I personally would only look at a new CPU if it comes in a bundle with RAM, the 7700x3d and 7500x3d bundles are the best values right now.
