Yes, every location networked for this deal to all collect "old stock" and then said: hey lets make this a $1 promo and hope no one notices.
Back here on Earth, you'll realize most of these fast food places and quality orders are VERY YMMV based on city and even stores within that city.
Sometimes they'll be decent (like the one I had) and sometimes they'll be bad....but there's no collective central TacoBell Skynet that oversee's and commands every place and order.

Thats original regular price at my local TB. I remember years ago, it started around $3-4, don't remember, anyone know the release date + price? The prices for this item + in general, entire menu keeps increasing, crazy how expensive they become.
