Don't know how this product sounds, but it requires an LG Thinq app just to adjust the sound and equalizer. Sad that soundbars need an app to adjust the settings.

It looks like the app is optional. You should be able to adjust with the remote. Plus these things usually have buttons on them that allow you to manually adjust.

I have the LG S80tr And you can use the remote to change any of the settings without using the app.

The app was an absolute nightmare up until recently, however, since the most recent update it is actually been improved significantly and I no longer have any issues with it.
They also increased the base significantly on my specific sound bar, and it sounds world's better... Although I'm not sure if it did the same thing with all of them
