Yesterday there was a $3,000 deal on a zero turn 80v unit which I would be more tempted by as it is 33% faster and I like zero turns. But this unit does have a towing hitch which is very cool.
Also keep in mind, this recharges inside the mower so you need to park it somewhere with an outlet.
The 80v unit, you have to remove the batteries and use separate chargers. Personally I think I like the idea of just plugging it in but many people prefer the other style.
But both are great deals from a company that has been around for a while. This is like their 3-5 gen of these things.
Since I have the 60V at my other property, and the 80V is nearing the end of its warranty, and I kinda wanted the wall charger, and I can sell the 80V for somewhat close to this price, I just elected to buy this 60V version. I'll keep some of the 80V batteries for some tools I have on hand but might migrate those to 60V too over time.
Many people will say get the zero turn - I get that - but I actually like steering. Just don't steer at full or near full speed - it has enough power/speed to take a front tire off. Happened once, learned my lesson, and local tire place mounted it back on for free.
This sounds like a lot of complaints but I actually love this mower and would not go for anything else on the market. Gas is a no-go, and many companies are either sticking to lead acid (nty), built-in batteries (no way), huge battery "suitcase" versions that can't use in other tools, etc. This is the best mower on the market under $4-5K imo.
